Another one finished. The Italeri kit is a bit basic but makes a nice looking plane in the end. Love this scheme

Andor – Partisan X-Wing
With the upcoming second season of Andor, I thought I’d try something different.
This is one of the partisan X-Wings used by Saw Gerrera and first seen in Rogue One. I made a real rookie mistake when painting the wing markings but as a freedom fighter group it doesn’t matter too much.
It’s fun to track the evolution of the X-Wings through the trilogy
DH.88 Comet
Second kit done for 2025, the Airfix 1/72 DH.88 Comet.
An incredibly basic kit that dates back to 1958(!), one piece wings and no cockpit except for two blobs that might be the pilot’s heads!
I cut out the cockpit, scratch built some seats and added a pitot tube on the wing. Other than that it was straight out of the box.
The black and gold scheme is nice, stuffed one decal but you would hardly notice. Looks a bit like the JPS race cars from the 80s.

Jedi Starfighter
Finished at last. This was meant to be a quick build, but it didn’t quite work out that way. A non existent paint guide didn’t help.
